Take a Trip on the Haight Line

Explore the breweries in Haight. This month's Meet the Brewers host is newcomer Standard Deviant Brewing (280 14th St.), who's Peachwood Smoked Kolsch, now a staple on their tap menu, turned heads when they opened last year.

At 6:30pm, the #DrinkSFBeer shuttle kicks in, looping between Standard Deviant, Magnolia Gastropub, Barrel Head Brewhouse and Black Sands Brewery.

The #DrinkSFBeer shuttle is FREE, stopping every 5-10 min. Just hop on, hop off at any stop (no need to reserve a seat).

MAGNOLIA BREWING
** Note: this month's shuttle route coincides with the brewery's 20th Anniversary and its involvement in BRU / SFO, which means a bonus batch of special releases!

20th Anniversary Beer
Strong Golden Ale - 8.4% ABV
Brewed for Magnolia’s 20th Anniversary on 11/11/17, using a new pale ale style malt from Admiral Maltings called Gallagher's Best, and combined it with moderate doses of Centennial, Citra and Galaxy hops for a smooth-drinking strong golden ale with a hoppy nose and delectable tropical fruit flavors. Fermented with Magnolia's classic English Ale yeast, keeping the malt and hops in balance and providing a link between new malts and hops, and the fermentation profile Magnolia is known for.

Barrel-Aged Saison Of The Witch
Annual fall/winter Saison aged for a year in Chardonnay barrels. The barrel aging has allowed the beer to develop a nice oaky, bright tartness and funkiness. Belgian Special B and Toasted Pale (Abbey) Malt combine to give this brew some great malty depth, with notes of apricot, raisin, orange, blackberry and spice

Tweezer Tripel
Belgian-Style Tripel - 9.0% ABV
This beer is a great expression of a classic Belgian style. Its light color and dry finish make it deceptively strong and highly drinkable. This one has a fantastic aroma of banana and apricot, with flavor notes of spice, sweet banana and fruit

Chocolate George
Belgian Chocolate Stout - 5.2% ABV
Brewed with 22lbs of fresh roasted and crushed cocoa beans from Recchiuti Confections, Chocolate George has delicious notes of rich roasted chocolate and espresso that interact beautifully with its fruity Belgian yeast profile

Gold Top
Belgian Single/English Bitter hybrid - 4.2% ABV
This beer is an experiment in blending styles from different brewing cultures. It marries English “session-style” beer with a Belgian Trappist-style fermentation. Gold Top has some really nice earthy, bready and citrus/marmalade notes with a light spiciness

Lemongrass Wit Rabbit
Belgian-style Witbier brewed with coriander and lemongrass - 5.6% ABV
