Summer's Eve in the Sunset
Nothing says summer like June, and for us that means a trip to the Sunset...
This month's Meet the Brewers host, Social Kitchen and Brewery (1326 9th Ave.), is home to Great American Beer Fest medal-winning head brewer Kim Sturdavant, who, aside from raking in medals over the years, is now inventor of a new beer style -- Brut IPA -- which began making appearances during SF Beer Week and has since taken off.
** Special 5pm Happy Hour Event ** -- Learn about the Brut IPA from the man who invented it! Sturdavant will share the back story and what's involved in brewing Brut IPAs. Read about this hot new beer style here at SF Gate, then head to Social Kitchen for this special Meet the Brewer event.
Of course, that's not all... at 6:30pm, the monthly Drink SF Beer shuttle will do its thing, with multiple buses looping nonstop between Social Kitchen and Beach Chalet, Woods Outbound, Seven Stills Lawton and Sunset Reservoir. Just hop on, hop off at any stop.
#DrinkSFBeer shuttles are FREE to ride, stop every 10 minutes at each venue, and run 'til 10:30pm. NOTE: Woods Outbound closes at 10pm due to permit requirements; please plan accordingly!
There's never been a better time to visit the Sunset. Plus, did we mention, it's SUMMER (or at least summer's eve)?!
Shuttles run from 6:30-10:30pm, stopping at each venue roughly every 10 min., providing plenty of time to visit the neighborhood and enjoy great beer and food at each of these local breweries.
