SoMa & Bartlett Hall On Tap
We head to the heart of the City this month, visiting SoMa and crossing Market St. as Bartlett Brewing Co. (aka Bartlet Hall at 242 O'Farrell St.) hosts Meet the Brewers night starting at 6pm.
At 6:30pm, the #DrinkSFBeer shuttle begins, looping between Bartlett, ThirstyBear Organic Brewery, Black Hammer Brewing, 21st Amendment Brewery and Local Brewing Co.
But first, more about the brewpub-that-could, Batlett Brewing. Recently Bartlett won Best of Show at the LA International Beer Competition as well as three Golds and a Silver. Most impressive was the style range of these winners: an imperial porter, a double IPA, a barleywine and a Dortmunder export lager.
Reading these accolades may come as a surprise, but not if you know Head Brewer Wynn Whisenhunt, who has a serious craft beer pedigree having cut his teeth at one of the East Bay's earliest breweries, E.J. Phair Brewing Co.
A special brewer Q&A at 7pm will be held with Wynn (teaser here). For now, take a gander at some of the impressive beers on tap that night (full porter descriptions here): HIGHLIGHTS at Bartlett Hall:
